Tremec offers a full line of performance overdrive aftermarket
transmissions for use in muscle cars, pony cars, street rods and
race applications. The Tremec TKO 5-speed sets the standard in
the aftermarket for strength, durability and quiet operation.
The TKO is the transmission around which many of our complete
ProFit Transmissions Systems are based. We also offer complete
systems based on Tremec’s t5 5-speed and t-56 6-speed
transmissions.
Tremec is also a full-service Tier 1 supplier of transmissions
with a worldwide customer base. You probably know them for
producing the original equipment manual gearboxes for late model
Camaros, Firebirds,
GTOs, Corvettes, CTS-Vs, Vipers, Aston Martins and others.
Of special note is Tremec’s involvement in the OE supply and
race support for every manual transmission equipped Ford Mustang built since the late
1970s.
American Powertrain carries new stock replacement Tremec
transmissions, and Tremec based ProBuilt transmissions built to
withstand the rigors of extreme performance and racing for most
of the automobiles listed above. Among the stock replacement
models we sell are the t5, t45 and 3650 5-speeds along with the
t56 and 6060 6-speeds.
